Fishing

The Woodlands and surrounding areas have some amazing spots for fishing. The small lakes in The Woodlands are all catch and release and do not require a fishing permit, with the exception of Bear Branch and Lake Woodlands you will need a permit if you wish to fish there. All of these lakes are well stocked with bass, catfish, and more!

For a great day of fishing head to North Shore Park where you can fish from the dock area or drop a kayak into the water, there is also a fabulous playground if you have smaller children with you. If you don’t have your own kayak you can rent one from the Riva Row Boat House. For a list and map of all of the fishing areas in The Woodlands, click here.
